Disabled voting
If you are disabled and cannot go to the polling station, you have the right to vote at home. If you want to vote at home, you have to notify the authorities no later than 15 May 2015. You can make the notification using the kotiäänestyslomakkeella or by calling the Central Election Committee by phone. The phone number is shown on the slip sent to you. An election official will come to your home to receive your vote.
If you are able to go to the polling station but voting is very difficult for you, you may use an assistant. If you want, the assistant may also come with you to the voting booth. But the assistant may not give any advice or say who you should vote for. The assistant must be honest and honour the secrecy of the ballot. You decide who you vote for. You do not have to tell anybody who or which party you voted for.
