The Court of Justice of the European Union

The European Court of Justice ensures that the laws of the EU and member states are in harmony with the Treaty on the European Union. The Court of Justice decides whether the member states’ laws comply with the EU regulations and directives. Additionally, this highest court of justice in the European Union settles disputes between EU member states and institutions.
